Recently, DCL successfully completed the CSA certification update for its explosion-proof electric actuators, further enhancing the company’s technological competitiveness in global markets. The updated certification newly covers large-torque explosion-proof electric actuator models ranging from 1000 Nm to 3000 Nm, and adds 12VDC and 24VDC power supply options across multiple models to support solar-powered operation in remote regions of North America. In addition, DCL’s newly launched waterproof and explosion-proof models featuring a 100% duty cycle have also passed all required testing and have been included in the updated certificate. Several newly developed functions, such as power-off return and Modbus communication, were also registered and certified during this update.
“This certification process achieved two major technological breakthroughs in the electric actuator industry. The first is enabling a 24VDC power supply for 3000 Nm actuators, demonstrating our advanced control of DC motor current. The second is reaching a 100% duty cycle, which reflects our precise control over motor temperature rise,” said the technical director of DCL.
The updated CSA certification not only confirms that DCL’s explosion-proof electric actuators meet the stringent requirements of Class I, Division 1 and Class I, Zone 1 hazardous locations, but also marks a significant advancement in the company’s explosion-proof technology and high-torque actuator capabilities. This certification ensures that DCL products can operate safely and reliably in heavy-load and continuous-duty industrial environments. DCL will continue to deliver safe and dependable fluid automation solutions to customers worldwide and contribute to ongoing technological progress in the industry.
